- Water is important for temperature regulation over the body. Water in form of sweat helps you maintain your body temperature during any physical activity. So drink more water if you sweat more. Or else it might lead to dehydration case.

- Protect the spinal cord, brain, and tissue. Water indirectly protects the spinal cord and brain from shock and acts as a shock absorber. It lubricates the joints and prevents the wearing and tearing of tissues.
- Saliva is important in your digestion cycle. It is produced using water. Have you felt your mouth dry and difficult to lubricate your teeth and tongue? It’s probably because of less water.
- Helps you flush out waste from the body. Water helps to remove waste from your body. Urination and bowel movement helps the proper excretion of waste from the body.
- Blood Oxygen Circulation. Water is responsible for the transport of nutrients and oxygen to each cell of the body. If you lack your water intake it may cause problems with proper circulation. Make sure you have ample water to maintain circulation.
- Kidney stone is the most common problem among people with less water intake. It is a painful as well as costly cure. You can easily avoid it by just drinking adequate water.
- Makes skin glow. Ample intake of water ensures all nutrients and oxygen reaches each part of the body. Similarly, water keeps skin hydrated and oxygenated which makes skin glow.
- Provides energy. Less water intake causes dehydration and it leads to fatigue. Low energy and low mood are results of drinking less water. Drinking water replenishes energy.
- Lose weight. Yes, research says having an ample amount of water adds more to your diet and can help you lose a few extra kilos.

How much is an adequate amount of water you should drink?
The amount of water you should drink overall depends upon your day, your physical exertion, and your sweating. But on basis of gender, age, and other few common factors we can average out water intake.
- Male should have about 3 liters of water every day
- Females should have about 2.5 liters every day.
The above-mentioned intake is averaged. If you have more physical activity and more sweating you must drink more water than that. The water amount is not only what you get from drinking water but also from the beverages and juices you drink.
